'Tis the Seasons

This has been a quintessential whirlwind of a year for us at Allred Farms. Crazy weather. Lot of ups and downs. Surprises. Boredom. And the general craziness of day-to-day life on a family farm. After finally getting this business off the ground, we look back at 2019 with lots of gratitude…even for the things we didn’t know we wanted to be grateful for.

Starting this new denim business from our own cotton has been a labor of love, loss and hard lessons. We finally made it over the hump and want to thank everyone along the way that made this journey possible thus far: Farmers Co-op Gin of Ackerly, North Carolina State University, Hilltop Spinning, our very talented seamstresses, Megan Bias, Broken Arrow Graphics, Jennifer Esperanza, Emily Esperanza, and many other friends, family and neighbors along the way who offered kind words of encouragement or who have supported us with their purchases.

I especially want to thank my wife, Jennie, for being the real driving force with this entire process. She held true to her vision and never wavered until it was achieved. As this year comes to a close, we look forward to all the challenges and blessings of 2020. Merry Christmas and happy New Year!
